Plumber working on ship plumbing


RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Ensure the ship's plumbing is in working order.
  • Responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining all plumbing systems on board.
  • Oversee the operation of the plumber shop, equipment, inventory, and consumables.
  • Handle potable water hoses during loading and maintain gray and black water systems, and all potable water systems.
  • Address plumbing-related complaints from passengers.
  • Participate in safety duties and respond to plumbing emergencies.
  • Attend department meetings and collaborate with heads of other departments requiring plumbing services.
  • Participate in regular safety drills.

REQUIREMENTS

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Technical training certificate in plumbing from an accredited school.
  • Minimum of two years of professional experience as a skilled plumber.
  • Hotel or resort maintenance experience is preferred.
  • Good command of the English language, both written and verbal.
