RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Activity Planning: Developing and implementing a variety of age-appropriate activities, games, and crafts to keep children engaged and entertained.
  • Supervision: Ensuring the safety and well-being of young passengers at all times, both on and off the ship.
  • Group Facilitation: Leading group activities and discussions, fostering a positive and inclusive environment for children.
  • Parent Communication: Maintaining open communication with parents or guardians about their child's activities and behavior.
  • Emergency Preparedness: Being prepared to handle emergency situations and follow shipboard protocols.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Education: Typically, a high school diploma or equivalent is required. However, additional qualifications such as a degree in early childhood education, child development, or a related field can be beneficial.
  • Experience: Previous experience working with children, whether in a childcare setting, camp, or school, is often preferred.
  • Certifications: Depending on the cruise line, certifications in first aid, CPR, or other relevant areas may be required.
